The National Econometricians Day (in Dutch: Landelijke Econometristendag, abbreviated as LED) is the largest annual recruitment event for students in the fields of econometrics, operations research, data science, and actuarial sciences in The Netherlands. On this day, over 750 students get the opportunity to orientate themselves on their future careers and get in contact with their potential future employers.
The LED 2024 will take place on 5 February at Conference Centre Leeuwenhorst in Noordwijkerhout. Together with a wide range of companies, we will provide interesting speakers, cases, and speeddate sessions to make this edition a networking event to remember! Do not miss out on this opportunity to get in contact with students nearing the end of their study!
CASES
A Company Case is there for students to get to know your company extensively. It should consist of a company presentation and a case, in total lasting 2.5h. This will provide the perfect opportunity for students to experience the everyday challenges faced by an employee in your company, and for them to ask any questions they may have.
Furthermore, as a company, it's the perfect setting to meet students for a longer period of time, and observe how they work and think.
COMPANY FAIR
The Company Fair is one of our more informal events in the Day Program. Here, your company will have a stand, where you can use as much promotional material you like!
The goal of the Company Fair is for students to get to know your company on a baseline level, and to answer any questions they have about the work that you do.
We encourage every company that participates in the Company Fair to also bring an interactive activity, to challenge students and inform them in an entertaining way!
SPEEDDATES
The Speeddates at the LED are 10-15 minute conversations of one recruiter and three students. These conversations are there for your recruiters to talk to students about recruitment processes and applications. But, as we also have Bachelor students, we highly encourage you to also inform the students about your company in general.
Note that the Speeddates are also the perfect opportunity to share your contact information, so they know who to reach out to when looking for a starting position.
RECRUITMENT DINNER
We end the day with a Recruitment Dinner. Here, two recruiters will be seated at a table together with 8 other students. We will provide a three-course dinner and some dinner entertaintment as well. The perfect setting to end the day!
